Why Correction Matters Before Coating
Paint correction is the meticulous process of machine polishing the clear coat to safely level out defects. This is vastly different from a simple "buff and wax" which often just uses fillers to temporarily hide scratches.
Before applying a Ceramic Coating, paint correction is essential. A ceramic coating forms a semi-permanent glass-like layer over your paint. If you coat over swirl marks, you are locking them in for years, and the coating will actually magnify those defects.

Our Paint Correction Process
Thorough Decontamination
Before any polishing begins, we perform a deep wash, chemical iron removal, and mechanical clay bar treatment. This ensures the clear coat is completely free of embedded contaminants that could cause further scratching during the polishing phase.
Inspection & Test Spot
We measure the clear coat thickness using specialized gauges and inspect the paint under harsh LED lighting. We then perform a "test spot" to determine the exact combination of pad, polish, and machine speed required to achieve the best results safely.
Machine Polishing
Depending on the chosen package, we perform either a single-stage enhancement polish or a multi-stage correction (heavy compounding followed by fine polishing). This physically levels the clear coat to permanently remove defects.
Panel Wipe & Protection
We wipe down the entire vehicle with a prep solvent to remove all polishing oils, revealing the true, bare finish. Finally, we apply your chosen protection (Ceramic Coating or PPF) to lock in the results.
Expectations & Limitations
What Can Be Corrected: We can successfully remove swirl marks, wash marring, light scratches, oxidation, and minor water spot etching that resides within the top layer of the clear coat.
What Cannot Be Corrected: If a scratch is deep enough to catch your fingernail, it has likely penetrated through the clear coat into the base color coat or primer. These cannot be polished out safely and require touch-up paint or bodywork. We prioritize the long-term health of your clear coat over chasing deep defects.
Maintenance is Key: Paint correction is a permanent fix for existing defects, but it does not prevent new ones from occurring. Improper washing techniques will quickly reintroduce swirl marks. We strongly advise proper two-bucket hand washing after the service.
