Compare Vehicle Protection Quotes Fairly
The lowest number is not a meaningful comparison when the jobs differ. Put each quote into the same categories: problem being solved, preparation, material or process, exact coverage, written terms and aftercare. This makes it easier to spot both missing work and extras you do not need.

Start with the same outcome
Tell each shop the same vehicle condition and goal. A quote for improved gloss cannot be compared directly with one for extensive defect removal; a front-pair tint quote is not a full-glass quote. Ask for clarification when package names hide the actual tasks or surfaces involved.
Make assumptions visible
Record existing protection, repairs and access needs in the enquiry. Ask what is provisional until inspection and how any scope change will be approved. A written estimate should make exclusions visible, including panel boundaries, old-film removal, repair work or other services that are not part of the price.
Compare ownership requirements
Look beyond installation to the care you will need to provide. Ask for product details, written warranty terms where applicable and maintenance obligations. A long marketing duration is not interchangeable with a guarantee against every type of damage. Confirm taxes and other stated charges without inventing a universal all-in price.
Choose the explanation you can understand
A useful recommendation should connect the proposed work to your vehicle and explain its limits. If a shop cannot explain what a service changes or why an added step is needed, ask again before committing. Preserve the written scope so collection can be checked against the agreed plan.
Your decision checklist
Preparation
Cleaning, decontamination, correction or removal
Ask: Are the same tasks included in each quote?
Coverage
Named panels, windows or interior areas
Ask: What remains excluded?
Terms and care
Total, approval process and written obligations
Ask: What will ownership require after pickup?
Before you request a quote
- Send the same condition information to each shop.
- Compare exact scope rather than package names.
- Ask how inspection-related changes are approved.
- Keep the final written agreement and care instructions.
